World Haemophilia Day 2021: Adapting to change

The theme of this year’s World Haemophilia Day, ‘Adapting to change’, has never been more relevant for people living with haemophilia.

“In such a challenging year, the need for every single person to take control  – to live a life beyond limitations and move towards better physical and emotional wellbeing – has become increasingly important," says Fabrizio Capetta, Head of Haemophilia at Sobi. “At Sobi, we are proud to be working with and for the community to help people with haemophilia reach for the many possibilities that advances in care have made possible, from the World Federation of Hemophilia Humanitarian Aid Program to our several patient support programmes.”

Sobi has several activities ongoing this week to renew our commitment to the community and mark our support for World Haemophilia Day, including asocial media campaign which has been launched with engaging and informative content to highlight the central message of adapting to change.

We are also staging an internal digital Town Hall event on 16 April, with several speakers exploring the different ways that ‘adapting to change’ can support and encourage people living with haemophilia to take control and stay active to maintain good joint health, even under the limitations imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
