Nurture patient-driven models

What we commit to

We will continue to acknowledge and develop the patient engagement dimension of acquisitions, reaching out for patient organisations and communities as early as we can. We will continue to implement processes to train all employees on patient-centred communication, empathy and understanding.

We commit to actively seeking patient expert input in the development and delivery of our programmes, by leveraging technology to facilitate ongoing communication and feedback in every new acquisition. Furthermore, we are committed to providing educational resources and personalised support services to empower people living with rare diseases and enhance their treatment journey in our newly-acquired disease area fields. By embedding this patient-centric approach in our acquisition strategy, we strive to drive innovation, improve patient outcomes and, ultimately, transform lives.

What we have done so far

At Sobi, we believe that Patient Engagement is not just a goal, but a guiding principle in every new acquisition. With each acquisition, we aim to start integrating a comprehensive Patient Engagement strategy from the outset. This strategy is designed to ensure that the needs and experiences of patients are at the forefront of our decision-making process.

To maximise patient focus in people processes, Sobi has embedded patient engagement questions in the interview guides for all leadership positions. Patient focus is also one of the key criteria for evaluating candidates during the hiring process for all roles here at Sobi. All newly-hired employees at Sobi must follow Patient Engagement Basics training and undergo an assessment.

In 2025, 100% of the newly hired employees were recruited through interviews that included Patient Acumen questions, and

1,891

employees were exposed to trainings that included Patient Engagement concepts or notions, including familiarization with Unite4Rare
