Rare Strength for all

The work we do to help patients and our communities is deeply personal. Everyone at Sobi North America plays a role in offering new possibilities for people affected by rare and severe diseases. 

Treating patients with hard-to-diagnose diseases requires a workforce with diverse experiences, perspectives and personal backgrounds that reflect patients and communities benefitting from our medicines. By reflecting the communities we serve and providing a safe space for uncomfortable but respectful and critical discourse, we can be more creative, more innovative and more enriched.

We recognize there’s always more that can be done. We hold ourselves accountable to continuing the progress we’ve made in creating an inclusive and equitable environment for our people, patients and partners. We commit to identifying opportunities to strengthen our culture and community impact through challenging conversations, thoughtful partnerships and feedback from our people. 

We also see our diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts extending beyond our own walls. It’s a journey that also involves everyone living with a rare disease, their physicians and those who help care for them. 

Rare diseases are never rare for patients who live with one every single day. Their needs and their lives are our reason for being, our reason for becoming.

With our PROUD ERG, we’re creating a safe and inclusive space for all LGBTQ+ individuals and allies at Sobi to engage, discuss, educate and advocate, with the goal of ensuring our community feels safe and supported. We aspire for Sobi to be regarded as one of the best places in the country for members of the LGBTQ+ community to work because of our equitable and inclusive efforts.

The QUIET ERG’s mission is to enhance company performance by allowing quieter voices to contribute new, fresh, unique and different ideas and perspectives. We’re creating an environment at Sobi that allows less-vocal employees and leaders to contribute their thoughts and ideas in a way that allows the full expression of voices and ideas.

The mission of the VOICE ERG is to affirm our identity as an anti-racist, diverse and inclusive organization by developing programs and collaborating with partners to dismantle exclusion within all aspects of our community. We serve our community by leading by example and fostering kindness, empathy and consideration of others. We invite colleagues to connect, collaborate and increase awareness in the workplace and ultimately in our community.
