Bob McLay is the General Manager of Sobi Canada, and Vice President, Head of Kineret® (anakinra) for Sobi North America. As Sobi Canada GM, he oversees all operations and commercial aspects of our business strategy and performance. As Vice President, Head of Kineret, he is responsible for the commercial process, performance and success for Sobi North America.
Bob joined Sobi North America from Merus Labs where he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in Toronto. He also has held roles as a Sales Director for Takeda Canada, Marketing Director with Graceway Pharmaceuticals, and Sales leadership roles with Pfizer, Alcon and Nordic Labs.
Bob earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Auburn University Harbert College of Business in Alabama and a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Guelph in Ontario. He resides in the Toronto area.
Joanne Ho is the Associate Director, Field Medical Lead in Canada. In this role, Joanne manages the Canadian Sobi MSL team by providing strategic guidance on launch and life-cycle management of medical activities.
Joanne joined Sobi Canada in early 2024 and has a breadth of pharmaceutical experience in medical affairs, marketing, and health economics at Pfizer, Boehringer Ingelheim and Dymaxium Inc.
Andrea Souchen is the Senior Director of Marketing for the US and Canada in the Business Operations Canada Unit of Sobi North America. In this role, Andrea leads all business operations for Sobi Canada, and serves as Brand Marketing Lead for Sobi North America.
Andrea joined Sobi in 2016 and has served in senior marketing and patient access roles. During this time, she was the lead for multiple rare disease drugs in Canada, led the company’s Canadian patient support program, and served as deputy for Sobi Canada’s General Manager. Prior to joining Sobi, Andrea was with Takeda Pharmaceuticals for nearly 10 years serving in product management, market access and medical sales roles.
She has a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com.) degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Andrea is based in Toronto.
Scott Young is the Director of Marketing for all Sobi Canada’s products. His role also includes leading cross functional pre-launch activities for pipeline products/indications and has specific accountability for marketing and sales functions.
Scott joined Sobi North America in 2015 and has been in multiple commercial roles during his tenure. Prior to joining Sobi, Scott was with EMD Canada for 5 years in sales and marketing positions last serving as National Sales Manager.
Scott earned a Master of Science from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with Chemistry and Mathematics minors from Keuka College in Keuka Park, New York. He resides in Mississauga.
In his role, Anil plans and executes strategies for Market Access of our products in Canada. He also oversees our Government Affairs efforts and manages our Community Engagement. His work ensures we have input from patients while supporting Patient Associations develop resources and educational materials.
Anil is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has been in the industry for over 20 years and joined Sobi Canada in January 2020. Before joining Sobi Canada, Anil has gained experience in sales, marketing, medical education and market access at Organon, Schering Plough, InterMune, and Shire Canada.
